In Sunnmøre you will find Geiranger, Hjørundfjorden, Strandafjellet Ski Center, Sunnmørsalpar and Runde Lighthouse. If we add that Via Ferrata Loen and the surf spot Hoddevika are only an hour and a half away, you understand that your new playpen has a lot to offer.
Ulsteinvik is a small rural town that has been voted the most attractive settlement in the country. It is home to 8,000 residents and is a commercial center for an area of 25,000 people. Here you will find most of what you need. Plus a good bit more.
Training facilities
In addition to the school's gymnasium and frisbee golf course, Ulsteinvik probably has Norway's best mix of brand new sports facilities. Right next to the school you will find a gymnasium, a paddle tennis hall, a bouldering hall, an indoor football hall, a large multi-purpose hall with a climbing wall and a water park, plus one of Norway's largest athletics halls. There is also a bike path with a running track and a nice 9-hole golf course with an advanced golf simulator and an 18-hole football golf course.
Plane/bus
Ulsteinvik is off the beaten track. Fortunately! But the city is not far enough away for you to quickly get where you want to go. You can fly with SAS and Norwegian from Ålesund, which is 50 minutes from the school. Even closer are Widerøe's departures from Ørsta-Volda. That airport is only about half an hour away. In addition, there are two daily bus departures from Ulsteinvik to the major cities in Southern Norway.
In summary: Welcome to Ulsteinvik.
Welcome to something wild, beautiful and real!
