Alarm.Emergency preparedness

On this course you will get a lot of blue light experience. You will see how the police conduct forensic examinations, you will participate in search/rescue with the Rescue Boat, you will learn about freeing people trapped in car wrecks and about accident scene management. There will be training in liaison/communication and meetings with the 110 call center and the Police Operations Center. 

Competence
You can take various firefighter tests and smoke diving courses that will enable you to get a job as a firefighter. You will gain formal competence in climbing, paddling and first aid. You will learn to rescue people in the water and on the ice and you will rappel down to injured people on the mountain wall. There will be a lifeguard course and a boatman's test. You will test yourself on a shooting range, test your physical and mental skills at the Norwegian Naval Academy and take part in a four-day exercise in the Sunnmørsfjella mountains with little food and little sleep.

Training
On the course you will receive targeted training based on your own goals, whether it is passing various strength/running tests for a blue light unit or preparing for your first-time service. Therefore, training is an important part of the course almost every day.

A large fitness center is available 50 m from the school. You also have access to a climbing gym and a water park. In the studio of a former professional MMA athlete, you will learn close combat and self-defense.

Study trip
Egypt has world-class diving. In Sharm el Sheikh on the Red Sea, you'll find Maldives-like beaches and dozens of dive sites with coral reefs. Here you can get your diving certificate and try out free diving – in addition to daily training sessions.
